Workout Recaps/Plans

Is a very, very busy week.

First, update on the calf issue-  it has been formally diagnosed as medial gastroc/soleus strain- so rest, ice, and physical therapy are on the docket for treatment.

I took today OFF from working out, so that later this week I can (hopefully) get some miles in.

This weekend I stuck to the arc trainer-  Saturday I did an hour, level 10 (highest setting), cardio program.  I followed that up with 100 squats, 50 lunges per side, and some abs.  I had a ton of energy, since I slept in until 9, blogged until 10 and got to the gym at the crack of 11.  Whew!

Sunday I did the same program on the arc trainer as Saturday and followed it up with a power yoga class.  Wow- I am not only not very flexible, but there are some muscle groups I definitely ignore frequently.  My forearms are sore today?

As I said, today is a freebie.  I worked late after getting back from the doctor and chose getting home in time for dinner over 9PM dinner.  It happens every so often!

For the rest of the week:

Tuesday-

60 min non impact cardio + muscle pump

Wednesday-

Try running (treadmill)- or 80 min cardio + abs/stretch

Thursday-

Thanksgiving run with mom!  WHEEEEEEEE!

Friday-

If my calf is doing better, a longer run with mom.  Last time we did a LR together we did 11 miles.  We’ll see what our energy/my calf brings for Friday.

Weekend-  TBD

AND-  Sneak peaks for recipes/food posts coming later:
